Holy the Firm is a song cycle for soprano and piano by James Primosch setting the poetry of various poets.
The work was commissioned by the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition at Brigham Young University for soprano Dawn Upshaw and pianist Gilbert Kalish. The work was premiered by Upshaw and Kalish on April 6, 1999 at the Provo Tabernacle in Provo, UT.
