Some of Tsiang’s writings include his 1937 novel And China Has Hands, as well as earlier novels China Red and The Hanging on Union Square. Tsiang also appeared as an actor in Hollywood, most notably in the film Tokyo Rose.
Through his writings, Tsiang expressed his beliefs that Communism could enact real social change. Tsiang also wrote vehemently about the injustices served to immigrants in America. His writings also broke stereotypes about Chinese writing in America, not only through political expression but also for his wit.
