Annie Reiner is a multifaceted artist – poet, painter, playwright and writer – as well as a psychoanalyst in private practice in Beverly Hills. She has written four books of poems, a book of short stories, and is the author/illustrator of four children’s books. She has won awards for her poetry and short stories, and one of her children’s stories won the Parent’s Choice Award for Best Audio of 1996. Her psychoanalytic writings have been published in several psychoanalytic journals and anthologies and her book, The Quest For Conscience and The Birth of the Mind (Karnac Books, 2009) was published last year.
