About
Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, David Mason studied at Colorado College and the University of Rochester. He has published several volumes of poetry, and much of his poetry is concerned with the topics of travel, the American West, history, and the outdoors. Interested in formal poetry, Mason’s Ludlow is a long poem in blank verse about the 1914 Ludlow Massacre in Colorado.
Mason has also collaborated with American composer Lori Laitman as the librettist of The Scarlet Letter as well as an opera adaptation of Ludlow.
