Harold Dickinson, born in 1913 was a singer, songwriter, composer, and music producer. He has collaborated with several orchestras, led by the likes of Paul Whiteman, Charlie Barnet, and Bob Crosby. He is responsible for the formation of the swing group, the Modernaires. The group featured Dickinson, Fran Scott, John Drake, and Alan Copeland.

Dickinson was also the president of Compass Productions. He would go on to join ASCAP in 1956. As a composer, his most popular works include “These Things You Left Me”, “Everytime I See You”, and “Tabby the Cat”.
