About

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Beth Anderson studied at the University of California, Davis and Mills College. Throughout her studies, she worked with several seminal American composers, including John Cage, Robert Ashley, and Terry Riley.

In 1975, Anderson founded Ear Magazine and has contributed her writings to several other publications. Her compositions include songs, as well as text-sound pieces, tape works, and graphic scores.
