Born in New York City, Edward Heyman attended the University of Michigan and began writing musicals during his college years. He made most of his career writing Broadway musicals, including “Here Goes the Bride,” “Through the Years,” “Murder at the Vanities,” and “Pardon Our French.” “The Bluebird of Happiness,” which was also a musical, was written for Radio City Music Hall.
In addition, Heyman served in the Air Force during World War II and was a producer for the Mexico City-based group The Players for several years.
