Lanier’s best-known poems are “The Song of the Chattahoochee,” “A Song of Love,” and “The Marshes of Glynn.”

His works are collected in a single volume, and have been set by American composers including George Chadwick, Charles Griffes, Grace W. Root, and, more recently, Bruce Trinkley.
