Charles Kingsley

Charles Kingsley was an English priest as well as a writer and university professor. His texts have been set to music by American composers Arthur Foote and Ethelbert Nevin, among others. Internationally, Kingsley's texts have been set by Charles Gounod, Paul Hindemith, and Gustav Holst.
