About

Born in Vermont, Frost attended Middlebury College as well as the University of Vermont. Frost married William Gordon Blackburn in 1926, and her son is poet Paul Blackburn. Unrelated to Robert Frost by blood, a reader will find that Frances Frost’s poetry is closely related to his, employing traditional forms and local colors but imbuing them with a fresh, modern twist. Her books of poetry include Hemlock Wall (1929) and Woman of this Earth (1934).
