Roland Farley

Composer Roland Farley set the poetry of many Americans in his songs, including Stephen Crane, Eugene Field and Sara Teasdale. One of his most famous songs is called "The Night Wind" and was a favorite of singer Rosa Ponselle.

A native of Colorado, Roland Farley became blind at a young age. However, his handicap did not stop him from becoming a successful composer and pianist. He was a close friend of playwright Mann Page and journalist and screen writer Izola Forrester.
