Mighty Lak' a Rose

"Mighty Lak' a Rose" is a song by Ethelbert Nevin setting the poetry of Frank Lebby Stanton. The song was Nevin's final composition and became a very popular song.

As was popular at the time, the song is written in a sort of "African-American" dialect. The song has been famously recorded by Paul Robeson.
